Jennings has a life-story of mission work that includes teaching kindergarten in China, working at an HIV orphanage in Thailand, and mentoring teens in the Philippines, to name just a few of her experiences. She raises all her own support for the mission trips. Here at home, Patty is worship leader at New Life Christian Church in Watertown and the volunteer five-county area coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, an outreach ministry of the Samaritan's Purse international relief organization led by Franklin Graham. Operation Christmas Child collects gift-filled shoeboxes for distribution to children around th world and provides additional assistance year'round. Jennings has helped deliver the boxes to Burkina Faso, Africa, and most recently to children in Ecuador.

Jennings says, "My mission is to help people understand how much God loves us and to believe that they are precious to Him. The May 1st program will include singing, worship, and a presentation on who we are in Christ and how we can be set free in Him."

Ginny, an English literature graduate of King’s College, says, “I look forward to sharing the scriptural inspiration for how the life and love of Christ can flow out of people to help others. We can be encouraged by the scriptures that talk about being trees planted by water and rivers running by the throne of God. I invite people to come see what God has for them.”

Ginny has written a number of spiritual dramas performed by church groups. In 2009, Bob Jones University Press published her first children’s chapter book. A Ram for Isaac tells the story of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice for God from the perspective of Abraham’s son Isaac. She will autograph copies of the book at the event.

North Country residents will recall that Ginny and her husband Pastor Ray Merritt served at Honeyville Baptist Church 11 years ago. Today, they serve the church community of the Second Baptist Church of Edmeston, NY.

Thankful for a great first event!

The first event was a wonderful morning of fellowship and learning attended by about 70 women from all over the county. Special thanks to the ladies for a great breakfast, to Cheryl for her wonderful teaching on Motivational Gifts, and to everyone who helped in so many ways.
