“Brave Women and Christianity in the Twenty-First Century”

Reverend Daniel Lincoln will share his journey from a youth in war-torn Liberia to becoming a pastor in the United Methodist Church in America as the Live More Ministries program speaker on October 22, 2016 at Lorraine United Methodist Church, 20560 County Route 189.

Reverend Lincoln was born in Barboke, a small jungle village in Liberia on the west coast of Africa. His father had worshipped and sacrificed to idols prior to his conversion to Christianity shortly before Daniel was born.

Reverend Lincoln’s message titled “Brave Women and Christianity in the Twenty-First Century” will include a special message about the important role women can have in helping a hurting world.

“Scripture tells us about the bravery of women and I believe their bravery can bring about great changes in our society that is so different than even 30 years ago,” Reverend Lincoln said.

Reverend Lincoln will complete his second year as pastor of the United Methodist Church congregations in the upstate New York villages of Lorraine and Mannsville in December. He is the first male speaker to offer a message at one of the Live More Ministries quarterly programs for women.

The Lorraine Methodist Church Women will offer a complimentary breakfast from 9 am to 9:45 am prior to the program from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, October 22. The program is free to attend; all are welcome. Book and gift table sales support the regional outreach ministry.
